Why use an independent matching service?

Going solar means choosing an installer, and that is where most homeowners get stuck. Quotes for the same roof can differ by thousands of pounds, the kit and warranties are hard to compare, and it is not obvious which firms are properly accredited. Approaching installers one by one is slow, and a single quote gives you nothing to judge it against. An independent matching service fixes that: you tell us about your home once, and we connect you with several suitable installers so you can compare like-for-like rather than taking the first number you are given.

How we vet the installers we work with

We only connect homeowners with installers who hold the relevant accreditations such as MCS, the certification required to claim Smart Export Guarantee payments. We check that the firms we work with hold appropriate certification and consumer-code membership, such as RECC or HIES, before we match them with you. Our checks are a starting point, not a replacement for your own judgement, so we always encourage you to verify an installer’s MCS status yourself, compare at least three quotes, and read the warranties before signing. We are a comparison service, not an installer, and we never carry out work ourselves.
